Cute Otters

Well I finally got a chance to go down to San Diego and visit Abby at Sea World. Here's a quick first look at Abby and Ellie the two youngest otters. Abby is the one on the raft with the lighter colored cheeks. She was adorable and all the otters seemed very lively and happy. The otter keepers were awesome and they even let me peek behind the scenes to see where Abby and Ellie were first kept until they were old enough to be introduced to the other otters. Ruby just visited Sea World and caught an almost 1 year-old Abby during feeding time sucking on an "otter pop" (seafood frozen into a chunk of ice).

I didn't even know that visitors to Sea World in San Diego could view our little Abby. I'll definitely have to go now!

Cyndie let me know that she found some pictures of Abby the otter taken by Ferretgirl last month.  Abby was actually on display in the Sea World nursery!  If any of you live in or around San Diego, you should definitely visit Abby.

From Ferretgirl2005: Baby Sea otter resuced from santa B, Ca.. Her name is Abby and She was 33 days old in these photos She can be seen( at least on this day aug 18th) at the sea otter nursey behind the main exibit anyone going to SWC i recommend u look for her, Shes a cutie!
