One of the best things about the Monterey Bay Aquarium is that after you see all of the incredible exhibits you can still walk outside and see wild sea otters floating around. If you've never been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, you should go. It's one of my favorite aquariums in the world!

Video: Otter vs Ice

Elfin the otter gets a snack frozen in ice. This is part of the Vancouver Aquarium's enrichment program that keeps the otters stimulated. Why no rocks to crack open their food? Because aquariums found that the otters would scratch the glass with the rocks.

New Rescued Sea Otter at Sea World

There's an adorable new rescued sea otter pup at Sea World in San Diego. Found in Monterey, this pup will now be cared for at Sea World since due to medical problems she was deemed unreleasable. It'll probably be a while before she joins the main exhibit but hopefully I'll be able to catch a glimpse of her in the care center behind the main otter exhibit when I visit Sea World next week.
